We use only the most proven newest techniques, and materials. We are concerned with both esthetics, and durability. All our equipment is new and technologically advanced. But, we understand that technology has its limits. New technology will never replace the need for good skills, but will only make a good dentist better.
We have air abrasion, which allows us to be very conservative, keeping our preparations small and often without anesthetic. We are a digital practice. We have computers in each room for use with digital radiography. This allows us to reduce the radiation exposure 90% of conventional x-rays, and it gives us instant pictures. We also have dental imaging, which allows us the ability to show the end results before we start any work. We use intraoral cameras, which allow us to see with greater magnification (up to 100X) for better diagnosis. It also helps the patient to see more of what’s going on and why. This then gets them involved in their own health and making decisions.
We have overhead entertainment for you to watch while having any work performed. The headphones help to block out the sounds and the visual effects of the TV keep you distracted. I have been using this for 15 years and couldn’t practice without it, especially for children. I think the TV sedates kids more than the nitrous oxide sometimes. We have satellite TV, or you can pop in your favorite DVD.
We maintain the highest standards for infection control with barriers and sterilization. Everything we use is either heat sterilized or it’s disposable and we throw it away. We try and cover all surfaces with throwaway barriers.
