Permanent, Secure Tooth Replacements

When permanent teeth are lost, regardless of the reason or number of teeth, dental implants can offer a “new lease on life.” They are superior to other choices because they are solid, secure, and esthetic. After nearly 35 years of use, they have a 90-95% proven success rate in appropriately chosen cases.

A dental implant is a special surgical grade titanium post, manufactured to highly precise specifications, under strict sterile conditions, that is inserted surgically into the jawbone below the gum surface. With proper use of the newest anesthetics and medications you need not be concerned about pain. As the bone bonds to the post, it forms a secure foundation onto which your new teeth are then attached and shaped to match your mouth. The number of teeth being replaced will determine the best kind of restoration for you. Dental implants can help replace a single tooth, or a full set of teeth. If you have been suffering with partial or full dentures, or are missing teeth, or feel you need teeth extracted, do not hesitate to call to be evaluated for dental implants.

This is a wonderful way to restore missing teeth. For most patients we’re replacing just a single tooth. The greatest benefit in using a dental implant is that we don’t involve other adjacent natural teeth to restore the missing one, like a bridge. We can also use dental implants to replace partial or full dentures. Wow, is this ever a dramatic change in quality of life when patients can toss their false teeth.

Before & After Photos

Patient # 1
This patient had a long span bridge fail. Her options were either a removable partial denture or implants. She wisely choose the dental implants. We placed 3 dental implants and were able to restore this area more securely than ever and it functions and looks like natural teeth.

Patient # 2
This patient has struggled with failed bridges and general breakdown of his posterior teeth for years. Finally he was able to get dental implants and it has changed his life. We placed a combination of implants and veneers to restore his lower teeth. He will still need to do some work on his top teeth to complete the case but implants have allowed him to function normally without a denture.

Patient # 3
This patient had lost his dentures so we made him a new set. We also discussed having some dental implants placed to secure his lower denture. He was very interested because he rarely wore it due to it being so loose. After the implants were in he couldn't believe the difference. He is now able to use his lower denture to eat. Due to the type of implants we placed he has several options to graduate into including a fixed type of bridge.

Patient # 4
This is another failed bridge. Do you see a pattern here? 25% of all bridges fail within 10 years. If you lose a tooth a single tooth implant is always your best long-term choice.

Patient # 5
This patient had a bonded type of bridge and hated the look and feel of the bridge. She wanted an individual tooth. We were able to do it with a single tooth implant.

Patient # 6
This patient had multiple broken down areas of her posterior teeth and worn lower anterior teeth. We placed implants on the upper right and lower left and veneered the lower anterior teeth. Also notice we were able to restore her bite to a more comfortable, esthetic opened position.
