What We Do

Sedation Dentistry Salt Lake City

Salt Lake City sedation dentistry expert Rodney S. Gleave, D.M.D., goes out of his way to help his patients relax. It's no secret that many people dread going to the dentist in Salt Lake City. It's because we have an inborn fear of things being placed in any of our body cavities so it's a perfectly understandable and a natural response. Does it not make sense, then, to see a sedation dentist, who accommodates, soothes and eases your natural reluctance with the most modern methods?

Sedation Dentistry

Once you've experienced sedation dentistry, you'll probably never be afraid to go to the dentist again. Here's all it takes, you take a couple of pills an hour or so before your appointment, and have somebody drive you to our office. By the time you get there, you're really calmed and relaxed in a drowsy but responsive state as the dental work is completed. Often you may also have slight amnesia and not remember what went on during treatment. We also offer nitrous oxide for the more nervous patients or those with a sensitive gag reflex. Sedation dentistry is practical, too. Because when you're relaxed, your treatment will be faster and may not require as many visits.

IV Sedation

Some patients are extremely fearful and prefer not to hear instruments or equipment at all. So we offer IV sedation for the patients who want to be unconscious during their visit. But most importantly, Salt Lake City sedation dentist, Dr. Gleave, offers a gentle touch, and a genuine concern for his patients. You may be assured he will do whatever it takes to block any discomfort and make your experience as comfortable as possible.
