Smile Makeover Contest 2011
Dear Dr Gleave,
Thank you so so so so much for doing my teeth! It was the most amazing experience ever!! My life has totally been changed forever because of it. I am so much more confident now and don't even think twice about talking to people. We just recently moved and it was so nice to be able to meet our new neighbors and people at our church and not even have to worry about them staring at my teeth. At my sister in laws wedding I was so excited to get the pictures done and they turned out so good! It was such a great feeling to not have to be self conscious! I think it is such an amazing thing that you do these contests. I know I would never have been able to do this without you! Almost every day when I look in the mirror I think of how grateful I am to you and how you changed my life! It's hard to put into words how thankful I am, so all I can say is thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!! You are the very very BEST!!!
Smile Makeover Contest - Spring 2010
Dr Gleave recently finished the treatment for our ABC4 contest winner. It was revealed on Good Things Utah last friday. Her name is Dannielle she is a Holladay Mom of 2 and teaches dance. Dr Gleave placed 10 porcelain veneers on the top teeth and placed composite fillings with some teeth whitening on the lower. Here's a follow up letter received from Dannielle;
Hey doc!
It's just Dannielle, your smile makeover girl! Hey, I haven't got a lot of time to be able to talk to you since when I usually do see you I am a little out of it!
I just haven't got to truly express my gratitude for you picking me to receive this amazing gift. You have no idea how much it means to me. Although I have been terrified of dental visits, you have made the appointments comfortable and really nice. You are great at what you do. This has been something I never ever could have done on my own. Every morning I used to brush my teeth and be disgusted and worry about what the heck I was going to do with them. Almost every night I was in so much pain. To not have to deal with ANY of that anymore has been an amazing feeling and a huge relief!!! My teeth look amazing so far and I am really looking forward to tomorrow (nervous of course, but excited!!!). I can't wait to see them. I can never thank you enough for your generosity and caring and what you have done for me and my life. You are really great and someone I will NEVER forget. Thank you!
All of this literally couldn't have come at a better time. With everything my son has went through, financially- I am just spent. With all of the medical bills I have just had to come to terms with that I will probably never (or not for a very long time) be able to own a home or a car.anything really. I separated from my husband back in October and moved out with my boys to Holladay. Although we love it, it has been such a tough time supporting them on my own.on top of all the other stuff. My business has suffered a lot with the economy, most people losing their jobs really don't have extra money for dance lessons- so I have had to really look at my job and wonder if I can support my family with it. Bottom line- just been feeling down and like nothing was really working out. And then all of a sudden this happened. It was the first thing in a LONG time that has went my way and gave me something to get excited about. It just brightened things and it just has been a very special experience. And it was all because of you, so I just want you to know you have changed my life and made things better for me in many ways I can't explain.
