Most emergency visits call for a tooth extraction, root canal therapy, wisdom tooth removal, or bonding to fix a chipped front tooth, and in most cases we can see you immediately, address the problem tooth, and end your suffering. Dr. Gleave has been in private practice in Salt Lake County since 1991, attends hundreds of hours of continuing education every year, and has completed more than 2,500 dental implant placements. Do I need an appointment for emergency dental care?
It is best to have an appointment, especially after regular business hours. While we do accommodate walk-ins at our Salt Lake City, UT, office, calling ahead at (801) 262-0744 will reduce your wait time.
How much does an emergency visit cost?
On average, emergency visits run between $300 to $600 depending on the nature of the visit and appointment time. This includes the exam, X-ray, emergency fee, and treatment. We try to limit costs to the minimum needed to eliminate your pain.
Do you work with dental insurance for emergency visits?
We are happy to submit an insurance claim on your behalf if we can verify your policy, which is usually possible during regular business hours. On weekends or evenings we ask for payment in full, then process the claim on the next business day so you can be reimbursed. Please note we are not a Medicaid provider.
